CAC Board of Trustees

Board Composition

The School Board is composed of a minimum of six to a maximum of thirteen members from the following categories:

• Representatives of US Organizations and Associations (up to five).
• Elected representatives (up to five).
• Appointed representatives (up to three).

School Board composition for the 2008-2009 academic year is as follows:

Monthly Regular Board meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Boardroom – 4th floor of the Administration/Elementary building. All members of the CAC community are welcome to attend. Agendas and Minutes of meetings are posted on the Board’s notice board near the main gate. School Board News is published monthly in Cairo-Glyphics and on the CAC Board website.

At the start of each year the School Board forms Standing Committees concerned with particular aspects of the Board’s work. Members of the administration and faculty may be asked to join some of these Committees. The Board Committees for 2008/2009 are as follows:

• Facilities Committee
• Finance Committee
• Trustee Committee

The School Board Chair and the Superintendent are ex-officio members of all Board Committees. Board members are the only voting members of the Committees.
