Dear CAC Community,

This is to confirm that Cairo American College will adhere to our published calendar, which provides for holidays on December 7th through 9th to honor Eid El Adha. School will be in session on Wednesday and Thursday, December 10th and 11th. This announcement follows confirmation in today's Al-Ahram that the private sector is within Egyptian law to provide a three-day holiday.
It is always a challenge setting our school calendar, and you are aware that occasionally - as recently as Eid El Fitr - we have modified our dates to accommodate unanticipated holiday changes. With this decision, we are pleased to have achieved the balance of respecting the culture within which many of us are guests, maintaining the integrity of our instructional program, and adhering to the law.
